Jamones de Trevélez: a tradition of flavour and quality
The village of Trevélez and its tradition in the curing of hams has been a national and international reference for more than 200 years.
Not only are there numerous bibliographical references by prestigious writers, such as Cervantes, endorsing the quality of Jamones de Trevélez, but also the fact that it carries with honour a royal legacy dating back to 1862. It was at the end of the 19th century when Queen Elizabeth II awarded her royal seal to this ham, recognising its exceptional quality. Since then, it has been enjoyed in the courts of Spain and France.
